Designed for a local entrepreneur seeking to create a warm and welcoming neighborhood café on the waterfront of Kalyves, Crete. The concept is centered around a deep burgundy color palette, which serves as the project's defining element and creates a strong visual identity throughout the space.
The café was designed within an existing structure, with an emphasis on preserving as much of the original building as possible. The design strategy focused on minimal interventions and cost-effective solutions, allowing the space to be transformed while reducing construction work and overall project costs.
Large openings frame views of the sea and fill the interior with natural light, while clean lines, natural materials, and integrated seating create a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. The design balances functionality and comfort, offering a variety of seating experiences within a minimal and cohesive environment.
